What Should I Wear & Bring?

BRING: You’ll need lots of water and a towel because you are going to SWEAT! That’s it… no additional equipment is needed for ZUMBA!

CLOTHES: Most participants wear comfortable, lightweight clothing such as shorts, lightweight yoga-style pants or capris, t-shirts, or tank tops. Workout clothing that restricts your movement is not advised for ZUMBA. You need to have exercise clothing that moves with you! These should also be made of a breathable fabric which allows cooling air to circulate, yet keeps moisture away from the skin.

SHOES: Basically, any comfortable shoe with worn-down soles will work well for ZUMBA! If you need shoes, we recommend that you wear “cross training” or “aerobic” style shoes. They provide the cushion and medial lateral support needed for side-to-side movements. They also have low traction rubber for easy sliding and turning. Please be careful with “running shoes” since they use a heavy tread on the bottom and are designed for forward movement. (If it looks like a “tire” on the bottom, there is too much tread and your foot will “stick” to the floor!)
